NO.1 Classification according to the degree of myopia
① Mild myopia: 0--3.00DS
② Moderate myopia: -3.00--6.00
③ High myopia: above -6.00
NO.2 Classification by refractive components
① Axial myopia
Due to the extension of the front and back paths of the eyeball, the parallel light beam enters the eye and focuses in front of the retina in the static state of adjustment, while the other refractive components of the eye are basically normal.
② Refractive myopia
The eye axis is basically within the normal range, due to the excessive curvature of the anterior surface of the cornea or the surface of the lens, and the refractive media.
NO.3 Classification by accommodation
① Pseudomyopia
The phenomenon of temporary myopia in emmetropia or hypermetropia due to accommodation spasm. Myopia can disappear after mydriasis with atropine or other mydriatic drugs.
② True myopia
After mydriasis examination with atropine or other drugs, the degree of myopia has not decreased or has decreased by less than 0.50 degrees.
③ Mixed myopia
Similarly, the degree of myopia decreased by 0.50D after mydriasis examination, but it has not recovered.
